Welcome from the Computer Club! This is a test post so that everything is set up for the club, which runs on Tuesdays every week. Check back here soon for further news and information direct from the children!
I am really sorry for neglecting this site, I cannot believe the past post was announcing the AGM last November! As always it’s a time thing, and with working online all day, it’s not the first thing I think of during the evening.
To this end, we have asked Mr Jensen and his computer club if they wouldn’t mind doing the updates for us, which they have very kindly said yes! So now news about our events and reports will be added frequently by members of the Computer Club.
In the meantime, here’s a round up of events being organised for the summer term. Look out for further news on individual items from the children.
Friday 18th June - Quiz Night
Tuesday 22nd June - Word search Closing Date
Wednesday 23rd June - NCPTA 50p Trail

On Wednesday 25th November at 3.30pm we will hold our AGM. The following is the agenda for it:
Welcome
Chairs Report
Treasurer’s Report
Headteacher’s Report
Election of Officers
AOB
Close
We anticipate the meeting will take place in the Lower Hall, unfortunately there is no creche for this, so please bring your children with you. It will hopefully only last 30 minutes. We would like to see as many parents as can make it.
We are holding our first meeting of the school year straight after school on Tuesday 29th September.
The main focus of the meeting will be to discuss our events for this term, and to arrange a date for our AGM. It would be great to see as many people, new and old at this meeting to help us decide on which events/activities the Friends of Chaddlewood will get involved with this term, and indeed the coming year.
If you can’t make the meeting, but have some ideas you’d like to put forward, let me know, or write a comment below:
Jason,
Chair, Friends of Chaddlewood School
This year we are holding the Macmillan’s Big Coffee Morning on the afternoon of Friday 25th September.
Starting at 2.30pm and lasting until 4pm it is hoped that we can see as many parents as possible either before school finishes, or indeed with your children after school ends.
Macmillan is a fantastic charity which provides help and support for families touched by cancer. They have helped a number of our families at the school, as such it’s the only external charity which we will be supporting this year.
Please come along and have a cup of tea or coffee, and hopefully there’ll be some cakes/biscuits donated too for you to enjoy with your drink.
Thursday 4th December is the date of our Christmas Disco.
It will be held in the Upper School Hall and entry will be through the main entrance, for both discos.
Infants Disco - 5-6.30pm
Juniors Disco - 6.45-8.15pm
As usual there will be a tuckshop available, though a £1 limit is requested which will be enough for drink, sweets and healthy snacks.
We do need adult helpers at each of the discos, particularly at the Juniors, as there is always a shortage of volunteers coming forward. If you are able to help, please let me know, or see me on the night.
If there aren’t enough parents to help, we will have to restrict numbers or cancel the event altogether.
Tickets are on sale from Reception at breaktimes, or from the Lower School Hall after school, priced £2 as usual.
